About Me

My journey as an artist started as a child. My mother, Jenina Carriaga, was a painter. My grandfather, Adan Carriaga, my Tata, taught me how to paint traditional retablos. Growing up in New Mexico, I was taught the traditions of Spanish Colonial art and had the opportunity to participate in the Spanish Market through the Spanish Colonial Arts Society. I also lived in China for a while in my childhood, where I learned new art styles. While I started as a traditional artist, a santera (saint maker), my work has evolved into more contemporary forms. Primarily focusing on painting, drawing, screen printing, and digital media. I’m currently pursuing a BA in Art in Las Vegas.
